News Temporary Regulatory Relief May Become Permanent in Some States

Many states have temporarily suspended certain regulations such as curbside sales to go to help craft brewers survive the pandemic. In some cases, temporarily may become permanent.

At least 80 breweries in Maine are offering curbside pick-up or some beer to-go option. Though curbside pick-up and delivery were allowed on a temporary basis, many have discovered how much customers like these services and may keep the systems in place for the foreseeable future according to an article in the Press Herald.

And temporary order in Oklahoma became permanent with the passage of Senate Bill 1928 which allows curbside sales or home deliveries of beer, wine and spirits to continue. Gov. Kevin Stitt signed into law last week.

In Ohio, new legislation aims to make carryout, delivery of alcoholic drinks permanent.
