News France Expects 2.5 Million Gallons of Beer to go Down the Drain

The brewing industry trade association in France, Brasseurs de France, has said that about 2.5 million gallons of beer will be sent down the drain, leftover from the closure of bars, restaurants and sports arenas.

France has cautiously begun to lift its lockdown, with millions back in work after eight weeks of restrictions. With that process comes the delivery of fresh beer, and the pick-up for the first time since the closure of unused beer.

About 25% of the 300-plus breweries in France were shutdown at the end of April due to lack of business, according to a survey carried out by Brasseurs de France with its 300 members.

What a sad affair this beer can’t be bought in bulk and transported safely to the U.S. for drinking here.Isn’t Brassuers the company that bought out Bud? The entire world wide distribution system can’t have entirely broken down can it? Is this a matter of contamination or shelf life? It’s about beer man! Picard would never let this happen to his winery. He’d have Star Fleet teleporting every bottle to Romulus if necessary!
