London Brewers Alliance produces first collaboration beer

Members of the recently formed London Brewers’ Alliance (LBA) have produced their first collaborative beer.

The cream of London’s brewer’s met together at the Redemption Brewery in Tottenham to produce the 5.3 per cent porter style beer.

Andy Moffat of Redemption Brewery was joined by brewers including Phil Lowry of Brew Wharf, John Keeling and Derek Prentice of Fuller’s, Paddy Johnson of Windsor & Eton Brewery, and Evin O’Riordain of Kernel Brewery.

“The Porter style has been chosen for obvious reasons and is being made from a combination of ideas from 11 brewers who have each donated ingredients. If has five different malts and five different hops, which makes it a lot more complex than most beers,” said Johnson.

The LBA formed earlier this year to raise the profile of beers produced in London.
