A report by Kirin Holdings, owner of the Japanese brewing company, said global beer production was up 3.7% last year from 2010. China was the world’s largest beer producer — accounting for about 25 percent — for the 10th straight year.
A total of 192.71 million kiloliters (50.9 billion gallons) of beer were produced in 2011.
