According to a new report released by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, the top four global brewers, ABInBev, SABMiller, Heineken, and Carlsberg now account for 47% of the total global beer produce and 74% of the profit.
Massive consolidation in the worldwide brewing industry during the last 10 years is responsible for the “new era” of global brewing. In 2004, 51% of the beer production was made by the top 10 breweries.
