An amazing 1,360 breweries will enter beers into the Great American Beer Festival competition this year, an increase from 750 entries last year, according to the Brewers Association.
The BA used a new registration process that allowed any brewery to enter, but limited the number of entries to a maximum of four.
The BA will hold a regional lottery to decide which breweries will be allowed to pour on the festival floor. A total of over 820 breweries indicated they want to attend, but the Colorado Convention floor can only accommodate 630. The results of the lottery will be released sometime in the next four weeks.
The GABF takes place October 2-4th this year.
