San Diego-based Green Flash Brewing Co. has announced an alliance with Belgium-based Brewery St-Feuillien to brew, bottle and ship Green Flash’s West Coast IPA to 11 European countries throughout Europe.
The announcement comes at the same time that Stone Brewing Co. made headlines saying they plan to build a brewery in Berlin, Germany.
Green Flash and Brewery St-Feuillien know each other well having collaborated on beers in the past. The beer will be brewed with the same hops, malts and the Green Flash house yeast as the West Coast IPA brewed in the California plant.
US craft beer export volume was up 49% last year for a total of 282,526 barrels, per latest Brewers Association numbers.
