Brewers Association Announces Additional Layoffs

Beverage Industry News» Beverage Industry Newsposted Jun 26th, 2020 03:36:18PM by Tom McCormick

In an email to its members today, the Brewers Association announced additional layoffs accounting for 17% of its workforce.

The layoffs come on top of a 23% reduction in staff on April 28th. The cuts account for a big decline of revenue for the association due to the forced cancellation of the Craft Brewers Conference in April, SAVOR in May and the Great American Beer Festival scheduled for September 24-26th.

Some well-know BA staff were included in the layoffs including Julia Herz, craft beer program director, state guilds manager Acacia Coast and Gary Glass who headed up the American Homebrewers Association. All will be missed.
