Long-time beer legend Jim Parker, known dearly for his wit, humor, smile, his laugh and his big heart, passed away this last week.
Jim had suffered a stroke last November, and reportedly died in his sleep with family at his side.
Jim had held many diverse jobs in the craft brewing industry spanning Colorado, Oregon and Washington. He was known to move from one adventure to another in the industry every few years. Most recently Jim had worked with Asher David Brewing & Cellarworks. He also served as Executive Director of the Oregon Brewers Guild. Jim will always be remembered and missed by this reporter who first met Jim back in the 1980’s.
