Avery Brewing Co. has announced a partnership with Mahou San Miguel, the second craft brewery deal the Spanish brewery has closed in the U.S in the last three years.
“Dad and I decided 2 years ago that in order to fulfill our vision of the new brewery and all of Avery Brewing’s potential, it made a lot of sense to seek a partner” said Adam Avery, Founder of Avery Brewing.
The deal is expected to close in January of 2018 and gives Mahou a 30% stake in the Boulder, Colorado brewery. Mahou also purchased a 30% stake in Founders Brewing of Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 2014. Avery Brewing was founded in 1993 and will brew about 65,000 bbls this year.
