‘American Beer’ Movie to Debut in Portland, OR

On Sept. 17, the feature documentary “American Beer” makes its commercial theatrical debut in Portland, Oregon at the Clinton Street Theater. The film will screen for the entire week, with daily screenings at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. plus weekend matinees at 4 p.m. For the opening night, the theater has acquired a temporary liquor license and will hold a tasting of local craft beer.

The film’s makers are currently looking into releasing the film in other independent theaters across the country. The film has already been featured at film festivals in Maine and Rhode Island. the film will continues its travels with a charity screening in Durham, North Carolina for Pop the Cap, a non-profit movement committed to lifting the 6% ABV cap for beer brewed and sold in North Carolina.
