A More ‘Beer’ Friendly Skies

Beverage Industry News» Beverage Industry Newsposted Dec 5th, 2014 06:19:42PM by Tom McCormick

In an increasing trend, Delta Air Lines announced that they will begin adding a selection of regional craft beers to many of their flights.

The airline currently serves beer from Boston Beer Company on all flights and beer from Sweet Water Brewery on a few routes. The airline will add to that beers from Ballast Point Brewing Company (San Diego), Blue Point Brewing Company (Long Island, NY), Brooklyn Brewery (Brooklyn, NY), Lagunitas Brewing Company (Petaluma, Calif.), Newburyport Brewing Company (Newburyport, Mass.), Samuel Adams (Boston), and Stone Brewing Company (Escondido, Calif.). Only one craft brand will be available on any given flight and only on select routes. Samuel Adams is available on all other domestic routes in the U.S.

The selection of regional craft beers are available on Delta’s West Coast Shuttle between Los Angeles and San Francisco; between New York-LaGuardia and Boston, Washington-Regan National and Chicago-O’Hare; on Delta’s transcontinental routes between New York-JFK and Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle; and on flights between Atlanta and New York-LaGuardia, Washington-Reagan National and Dulles, Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Tampa and New Orleans.
