Ballast Point to Close Chicago Brewpub – for the Winter

In what may be an increasingly familiar survival tactic, Ballast Point Brewing is closing its Chicago brewpub for the winter with plans to reopen in spring.

In some areas of the country where outdoor dining is rarely (or never) an option during the cold winter months and indoor dining capacity is restricted due to COVID-19, some brewers may find that closing is less expensive than trying to stay open.
