News AB to Expand Georgia Brewery

Anheuser-Busch will invest $85 million in expanding its Cartersville, Georgia brewery.

The project will be a three-year expansion of the brewing operations and will include adding on to the existing warehouse, adding new equipment to the production area and installing new tanks outside. No word was given on whether or not the project will increase capacity. The announcement comes just two weeks after MillerCoors announced it was shutting down it California brewery and capacity in the industry far exceeds current production levels.

The Cartersville AB plant opened in 1993 and makes more than 20 of the company’s brands.
