News Marty Jones Donates Music to Help Support Pints for Prostates

Marty Jones, longtime craft beer promoter and “Bard of Beer Songs,” is using his new beer-song compilation to help the Pints for Prostates organization.

For the month of September, Jones is donating 100 percent of the sales of his Brewed Gold compilation to the group, which had to cancel its annual Denver Rare Beers Tasting fundraiser event (scheduled for Sept. 9, 2021) due to COVID-19 safety concerns. Last year’s event was also cancelled. Brewed Gold can be listened to and purchased here.

Pints for Prostates raises awareness among craft beer drinkers about prostate cancer and the importance of early testing for it. Jones’s new 10-song compilation showcases his most popular beer songs from his 25 years of making beer-minded music in Colorado.

“The Denver Rare Beer Tasting is a very important event for us,” says Rick Lyke, who founded Pints for Prostates in 2008. “Having to cancel it in 2020 and 2021 has really disrupted our ability to reach men through the universal language of beer. So we’re fortunate to work with Marty Jones on this project as a creative way to build awareness and help fund our efforts.”
