News After 30 Years Leading ABInBev, Carlos Brito Looks Back – and Ahead

Carlos Brito, who stepped down as CEO from Anheuser-Busch InBev last week, made a major impact on the global beer industry by transforming ABInBev into the world’s largest brewing company through a series of aggressive deals and acquisitions.

Brito was at the helm of InBev when the Brazilian company wrangled a $52 billion deal to buy Anheuser-Busch in 2008, a deal that shook the brewing world. Eight years later Brito executed the $100 billion takeover of SABMiller, the third largest acquisition in history.

But Brito doesn’t seem ready to hit the hammock and drift into retirement at the age of 61.  ”….I have 25 years ahead of me, at least 25 years,” Brito told the Financial Times.
