News Three Weavers Pulls Out of CANarchy Craft Brewery Collective

According to a story in Brewbound, Three Weavers Brewing has reached an agreement with CANarchy Craft Brewery Collective to buy back full ownership of the Inglewood, California-based brewery.

Founded in 2015, CANarchy is funded by Fireman Capitol and had previously partnered with Oskar Blues Brewery, Perrin Brewing Company, Cigar City Brewing, Squatters Craft Beer, Wasatch Brewery and Deep Ellum Brewing Company before taking on Three Weavers in the summer of 2018.

This is the second announcement in just a few weeks of a brewery essentially buying their way out of a “brewery collective” that they had previously sold to. Ninkasi Brewing pulled out from Legacy Breweries just last month.

CANarchy was founded to provide a “platform from which rapidly growing craft breweries seeking high level resources can expand and compete in the increasingly competitive craft beer segment, while maintaining their independence,” according to a past company press release. The concept is to bank on the efficiencies and leverage of using a broad portfolio of multiple brands to achieve both distribution and retail placement.
