The Brooklyn Brewery has announced that it will introduce its second non-alcoholic beer, Special Effects IPA
“With Special Effects IPA, we’re taking all the hop character we love and creating a delicious classic IPA that’s under 100 calories and just so happens to be non-alcoholic,” the company said in their announcement.
Brewmaster Garrett Oliver describes the beer as “like a classic West Coast IPA, with good fruit, a nice hop bite, and a floral, citrus hop aroma.”
The company apparently found success with its first non-alcoholic beer, Special Effects Hoppy Amber. And the non-alcoholic beer category is heating up as more consumers adapt to the new generation of full-flavored non-alc beers. According to a poll by Morning Consult, more than 46% of all adults in the US have tried non-alcoholic beer.
Brooklyn has begun shipping Special Effects IPA across the United States, and will debut in their international markets in 2021.
