News Restaurants and Bars Facing New Shutdown Orders Across the Country

Multiple cities and states are imposing or threatening to impose new shutdown orders for restaurants and bars due to a nationwide uptick in Coronavirus cases. The closures and additional restrictions will mean that beer sales are likely to slump once again in the on-premise retail sector.

San Francisco has shutdown all restaurants for indoor dining once again allowing only outdoor dining as the cold winter months approach.

A less harsh approach is taking shape in New York state where Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that restaurants and bars across the state will have to close indoor and outdoor dining nightly at 10 p.m. starting on Friday. The same restrictions were imposed today in New Jersey where bars and restaurants must close inside by 10 p.m.

In Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has warned that bars and restaurants could be ordered closed a week from Thursday if COVID-19 cases continue to spike.
