I've read the posts from lastyear regarding brewery insurance. Does anyone have any new companies/plans/thoughts to add? I'd rather use a company that already deals with breweries. Thanks!

Haylor, Fryer, and Coon has a great plan. They are dealing breweries across the country right now and have agents who deal exclusively with breweries large and small. I'll ask my rep for a contact in youe area.

Another agent you could try is Whalen Insurance (Peter Whalen) in Northampton, MA. They have a division devoted to micro- and brewpub insurance and are one of the longest-established specialists in the country -check them out at http://www.whaleninsurance.com

Any contact info for these guys? A google search just turns up a bunch of Insurance wholesalers.

I also recommend them highly. David is a "beer guy" and is very helpful.
One note--if you fill out their online request for a quote and don't hear back from them quickly, be sure to call. For some reason when I filled out the form it got lost in cyberspace.

We filled out the online quote 3 months ago. They (Haylor) have called twice but still haven't gotten a quote back. Are we too small? They kind of hinted at that.

you can't be any smaller then I am and I get a phone call back pretty quick. Who have you talked to? try asking for David Kateleski or Chad Beffa.

My experiences with both Haylor... and David Katelesky have been great, in addition to a very fast turn around they cut our rates by nearly 50%. They are very knowledgeable about the products they represent and very professional. Further, they assisted in getting our refund from our previous carrier. Can't say enough good stuff about them.

Hey Coast- I know this is a little late, but I'd love to help you out in anyway possible. I'm an insurance agent/ homebrewer in Atl. and work w/ Sweetwater on their commercial insurance. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Alston
* btw, I dig your brews! Charleston needed a nice, local brew. I graduated from CofC in 02 and used to drink the hell out of Palmetto!

I just want to personally recommend the Yates Insurance agency in Atlanta GA. Alston Yates is a beer enthusiast and a friend to brewers and breweries everywhere as far as I can tell.
I thought I would post his contact info just in case someone else might need their services.
