Steam to Direct fire

Does anyone have any info. on converting a Steam kettle to a direct fired? We are searching for a 10 bbl system but all I can find is steam and we have no room for a boiler

I don't think it is possible to convert. The dimple jackets preclude a decent heat transfer surface. And it would be very expensive/time consuming to try. I suggest looking harder at the market. I know there are hundreds of 10 bbl direct fired kettles out there. Good luck.
