On MicroStar's website they talk about the brewer's keg management responsibility ending once the beer is delivered to the wholesaler. What if I am self-distributing (that is, what if there is no wholesaler and I deliver directly to bars, restaurants, etc.)? Can I still work with MicroStar?

My discussions with Microstar have indicated that it doesn't make sense for you to work with them unless your volume is over 200 kegs per month. Are you really self-distributing over 200 kegs per month?

Call them and talk to them is my advice. Just like the previous poster stated, they will help you figure out if their system makes sense for your situation.

I have been pleased to find that this industry is not about hard sells to the extent others are. I have found most companies very willing to help little guys find the right solutions to get started.

Making contact with the reps is worth a TON!

I thought I would chime in here and let you know there is another option in Keg management / Pay per fill other than what has been available.

I own KegCraft, we are a 1 year old keg management service company that offers not only pay per fill with smaller minimums. We also offer long term keg rentals (12 -24 month) and short term(4 week) rentals for brewers.

We are a young, aggressive and flexible company that is looking to partner with growing brewers. If you or any other brewers are interested please give us a call or drop me an e-mail. We think you'll like what you hear when you talk with us.
