Thornbridge Brewery continues to grow and innovate. We are seeking a passionate, technically gifted, quality focused, safety driven, and team oriented brewer to join our brewing team. All candidates must have a positive attitude, be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs dictate.
This person will operate our cellar and brewhouse, including milling, mashing, lautering, boiling, hop additions, whirlpool, and wort cooling; perform certain quality control tests on the product at various stages of brewing, lab work; perform beer transfers and centrifuge operations, including mixing and carbonation, racking and bottling; responsible for pre & post cleaning and sanitation of all transfer lines and vessels.
This position is very physical in nature and therefore requires frequently lifting up to 25kg/55lb, comfort working at heights while standing on ladders, working in tight/cramped spaces and/or in awkward positions for extended periods of time. The work environment includes working on and around potentially dangerous equipment/machinery, handling hazardous materials and exposure to high noise levels.
Our ideal candidate will have at least ones year hands on brewing experience and some formal training. The candidate should have an understanding of brewing science as well as excellent organizational, communication skills and should have a strong mechanical aptitude. All levels of experiences are welcomed to apply. Must be able to live and work in the UK.
