Looking into the future we are going to be bottling 750's of our wild ales. Does anyone have some good plans for cost effective bottling, corking and wire hooding? We plan on bottling conditioning as well.
Thanks,
Nick

You might consider going with the crown closure with a flip top bail type stopper attached to the neck of the bottle. Grolsche style flip stoppers are available for the neck of the 750ml bottles that have a collar to secure them to the neck, so they can be installed after crowning. This way you have the secure closure of a crown for shipping with the attractive flip stopper for resealing the bottle. Also even with bottle conditioning, it is a good idea to cap on foam to avoid extra air pickup and it is much easier to do this with a machine made to install crowns than with corking.

Why not just crown cap it! Like this!
We also have the cork finish bottle for wire hoods and cords I would recommend Scott labs in California.

By the way! We also have those mechanical add-on swing-tops if anybody interested.

Nick,
All we do is 750's corked and caged. 7 to 14 bbls at a time, by hand, basically!
I could post a never ending reply, but instead, give me a call and
I'd be happy to talk about what we do.
