Empty Keg Storage

Is there any time limit to storing empty, sanitized kegs or should we re-clean them before filling?

I think that it depends on the conditions. For example if the keg is in a 110 degree F room the storage life may be much shorter than say a keg in a 50 degree room. In addition, I have always been told to never wash extra kegs unless they are going to be filled within 3 days. Using our mini king keg washer this policy has worked very well for us.
