If you had a chance to do it again, what equipment would you get (or not get) to make up your lab. What pieces can you not live without; and which ones would you rather were never invented in the first place?
Thanks for you feedback on this one. Hopefully it will help me a little.
Cheers,
Matt

And I always thought a lab was an essential piece of every brewery...;)
Maybe I didn'y get my self started correctly. I was thinking along the lines of, would you rather a Zahm Nagel, or a haffmans (and why?), is that $500 dollar microscope alright, or should you have forked out the extra on a better one? O2 meters....pH meters.... Sundries etc. The list goes on.
Anyways, thanks in advance to you all.
Cheers,
Matt

I once hear a English brewer saying that a microscope to a cellar is like a hydrometer to a brewhouse.
Yes, definitely a microscope and a hemocytometer.
(And frankly, even though I was much spoiled with $50K microscopes back in school, a basic $200 one off ebay will work just fine with yeast.)
In addition to the previously mentioned equipment. These things are handy.
