Howdy all,
I'm brainstorming about holding some events in our tasting room to increase foot traffic during our slower winter months. I seem to remember Wyncoop in Denver doing a "Running of the Pigs" event. What sort of weird/zany/off-the-wall events have you done or seen done by breweries or bars?
Prost!
Dave

beer is very serious...

We are pretty lucky, the town here has a week long festival in mid January. Kind of like a Mountain Mardi Gras. Our pub has a beard growing contest, High five contest and a polar beer plunge, we fill a cow tank with a beer/water mix and people jump in and have to pick up prize laden film canisters with their mouth. Last Jan it was 9* and the first person had to jump through a foam glacier.
two other breweries in town have music. In the summer one has bar b que with free food and music, another has open mike blue grass night all year long.
Cheers and good luck.
