Interesting project at California Polytechnic (http://dsc.discovery.com/news/2008/09/23/ancient-yeast-beer.html). Anybody had a taste of this?

The ancient yeast is restricted to a narrow band of carbohydrates, unlike more modern yeasts, which can consume just about any kind of sugar

Yes, not bad, a bit "Belgian." Not really suited for clean-tasting beers. Easier to drink than to comprehend that this creature is still alive.
