Anyone have experience aging on oak staves, especially as it compares to doing it in real barrels?

I've never used either but the spirals look promising.

Try taking a look at the company evoak, oaksolutions.com. They have a great calculator on there that will relate all the products to a percentage of new barrel flavor.

They also offer a great sample kit!
