Good Summer Start

June 29, 2009 - In the four week period ending June 14, IRI scan data showed that craft beer case volumes were up 9% in the month.

It was a rainy month in much of the nation, possibly accounting for a drop in major brands which were down 3.4%. But weather never seems to affect craft the way it does the big brands.

Scan data is for case sales in participating (scanning) off-premise only. The bulk of the participating retailers are grocery and chain stores.
