Granite City Food & Brewery to Open Ninth Location

Dec 23, 2004 - Granite City Food & Brewery Ltd. has announced that it has entered into a

lease agreement with The Dunham Company for a restaurant in Wichita, Kansas

that will be the site of the company's ninth Granite City Food & Brewery.

"We are excited to begin an aggressive rollout of our concept throughout

Middle America," said Steve Wagenheim, Granite City Food & Brewery's

President and CEO. "Wichita is a natural starting point for our expansion

plan which calls for 18 stores over the next three years. We plan to open

our Wichita store in June 2005 and anticipate signing agreements on sites

throughout the Midwest including Kansas City, Omaha, Wisconsin and the

Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area." Granite City Food & Brewery Ltd.

currently operates eight Granite City Food & Brewery casual dining

restaurants featuring made-from-scratch food and handcrafted beers. Its

first Granite City location, in St. Cloud, MN, opened in June 1999.

Subsequently, the Company opened restaurants in Sioux Falls, SD; Fargo, ND;

West Des Moines, IA; Cedar Rapids, IA; Davenport, IA; Lincoln, NE and

Minneapolis, MN.
