CIA offers course on beer

The October 2010-June 2011 catalog from the Culinary Institute of America has a new course. It’s “Beer: Exploring the History and Flavors of the Brewer’s Craft.”

The two-day class at the St. Helena campus costs $995 and is yet another example of the rise and respect that beer is finally getting.

    What I do know is that the best bread I’ve ever had has been liquid.

    Don’t get me wrong. I’m a fan of all sorts of great food.

    Beer is food.

    I guess that’s my point.
